Pokemon Reveals New Anime Short Film Pokemon Ecology Diary on April 22

The official Pokémon Weibo account announced a new Pokémon anime short film, Pokémon Ecology Diary (name not confirmed), for World Earth Day on April 22, starring beloved characters like Chimchar, Tepig, Pikachu, Eevee, and more. You can check out the Pokémon Ecology Diary visual and anime below. The anime went live at noon on April 22 (Chinese Standard Time).

Pokémon Ecology Diary can be watched here. The Pokémon Weibo account described it, “April 22 is World Earth Day. While Pokémon helps us discover the beauty of the world before our eyes, are trainers also curious about the ecology of the Pokémon world? The Pokémon special animated short film Pokémon Ecology Diary will be released on the official Pokémon channels at 12 noon tomorrow! Stay tuned.“

The new Pokémon short follows the recent Kairyu to Yubinyasan (Dragonite and the Mail Carrier) anime, which dropped on February 27, Pokémon Day. CoMix Wave Films, best known for Makoto Shinkai’s films, was responsible for the animation production. Taku Kimura directed the short and was joined by:
