With You and the Rain anime revealed the first teaser trailer ahead of the shows’s panel today at AnimeJapan 2025. Studio Lesprit will animate the show, with Tomohiro Tsukimisato as director, Ayano Owada as the character designer, and Toko Machida in charge of the series composition. The anime is set to premiere in July 2025.

The With You and the Rain anime was announced in August 2024 and is adapting the manga by Ko Nikaido. It has been serialized in Kodansha’s Weekly Young Magazine seinen magazine since August 2020, with 7 volumes published as of September 5, 2024. Kodansha licensed the series in English, describing the story of the first volume:
If it looks like a dog and acts like a dog and insists it’s a dog, it’s…a dog? Probably? She adopted it anyway, and her life with this “dog” will never be boring!
