The new original anime from CyberAgent and their CygamesPictures studio, APOCALYPSE HOTEL, revealed the second key visual. The anime previously confirmed an April 8, 2025 premiere date and spin-off manga.
The anime first revealed the first trailer and visual in January, along with announcing Saho Shirasu as the voice of the main character Yachiyo. The character is also featured in the new visual, which also adds the full cast.
APOCALYPSE HOTEL will be directed by Kana Shundo. It was previously announced that the anime will have original character designs by Izumi Takemoto, with Shigeru Murakoshi on the series composition. Other staff members include Natsuki Yokoyama as the character designer, Kohei Honda as the art director, Satoki Iida as the sound director and Yoshiaki Fujisawa as the music composer.
The opening song “skirt” was featured in the first teaser, while the ending song “capsule” by aiko was featured in the latest trailer.
The official synopsis:
The Earth where mankind has disappeared and civilization has collapsed.
In a desolate town, where nature has slowly reclaimed its breath, a single hotel with a long history remained standing in this world weaved by nature.
“Currently, the number of guests staying: 0, new reservations for today: 0, homepage views yesterday: 0. Goal not achieved.”
This is the story that unfolds in a hotel where humanity no longer exists.
