A new key visual for the upcoming Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive (Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!)) anime was revealed on Friday featuring the main duo Himari Inuzuka and Yu Natsume. The anime will premiere on April 4, with Crunchyroll confirmed to be streaming it as part of their Spring 2025 anime lineup. Its official English title is stylized as Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive?.

Youhei Suzuki is directing the series at J.C. Staff with Yaemorinozu as the series composition writer. Natsuki Oyama is designing the characters. HoneyWorks feat. HaKoniwalily is performing the opening song “Shitsumon, Koitte Nandeshoka?” while the ending song, “Dear My Soleil,” is sung by Hina Tachibana. The main cast of the series consists of:

Can a Boy-Girl Friendship Survive? anime is based on a light novel series written by Nana Nanana and illustrated by Parum. It has been published under Kadokawa’s Dengeki Bunko label since January 202. A manga adaptation illustrated by Kamelie was launched in August 2021.
The story is described as follows:
Danjo no Yujo wa Seiritsu suru? (Iya, Shinai!!) is a coming-of-age love comedy about two high school students, the cheerful girl Himari Inuzuka, and the flower-loving boy Yu Natsume, who pledged eternal friendship in junior high school. The two had been best friends since junior high, but their destiny is thrown out of whack when Yu reunites with his first love from the past.
