Trigun Stargaze Sequel Will Conclude the Story After Stampede, Gets Teaser Visual & 2026 Release

TRIGUN STARGAZE sequel anime will officially conclude the story after TRIGUN STAMPEDE, revealing a teaser visual and 2026 release date. Studio Orange is returning to animate, although it will have different main staff.

TRIGUN STARGAZE is set on the desert planet No Man’s Land, two and a half years after the events of TRIGUN STAMPEDE. It will focus on the resolution of the fight between Vash, who has sworn to never kill, and Knives, who is trying to destroy humanity.

The series will be directed by Masako Sato, known for her work on Haikyuu!! TO THE TOP and Anima Yell!. Kazuyuki Fudeyasu, who has written for shows such as That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime and Shangri-La Frontier, will handle the series composition and script. The character designs will be provided by Kiyotaka Oshiyama, whom we’ve had the chance to interview on his recent directorial work for Look Back.

Oshiyama also drew the teaser visual, which features the tagline “Live and Suffer.

The director, Masako Sato, commented:

This is the newly woven conclusion to TRIGUN. How will the battle between Vash and Knives unfold, and which path will they take? I hope that by experiencing both stories through the original work, you will enjoy the journey.

It was also confirmed that Yoshitsugu Matsuoka will return to voice Vash, with Yoshimasa Hosoya returning as Nicholas D. Wolfwood. Matsuoka commented:

This time, the story comes to an end. In STAMPEDE, I was wondering how it would all end, and I aimed for a satisfying conclusion. I hope you will enjoy the entire story. I believe the charm of Vash lies in his unwavering belief in his strong sense of justice. It is such a beautiful conclusion to see a man with a strong belief, trying to shape the future he envisions.

In STARGAZE, Vash faces a different environment, so it was difficult to express the same emotions as in the original. But one thing is certain: Vash is Vash, no matter what. There are many scenes in this installment that will give you chills, and others that will make you laugh and cry. I hope you will enjoy seeing how the characters move forward and how their futures unfold.

Please look forward to TRIGUN STARGAZE! Thank you!
