Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord novel is officially getting a TV anime adaptation. The announcement was made at the “OVERLAP Bunko All-Star Grand Assembly SP 2025” program streamed on ABEMA today, April 20.
The full title of the novel is Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord: Production Magic Turns a Nameless Village into the Strongest Fortified City (Okiraku Ryoshu no Tanoshi Ryochi Boei: Seisan-kei Majutsu de Na mo Nakimura o Saikyo no Josai Toshi ni), and it is written by author Sou Akaike with illustrations by Kururi.
The story was first published online on the user-driven website Shosetsuka ni Naro in May 2020. It was later picked up by the publisher Overlap, which began releasing the series under its Overlap Novels label in September 2021. There is also a manga adaptation by Maro Aoiro, which started serialization on Overlap’s Comic Gardo website in August 2021. Each of the creators left comments on the anime:

Seven Seas Entertainment licensed the novel and manga in English, describing the story for the former:
