The Apothecary Diaries Season 2 has released the creditless version of the second opening theme, “Kusushiki” by Mrs. GREEN APPLE. The second cour of the second season will officially begin with Episode 13, which will premiere on April 4 at 11:40 JST.
As shared on The Apothecary Diaries website, Mrs. GREEN APPLE vocalist Motoki Ohmori commented on how they are honored they feel to work on anime so beloved in Japan and internationally. Their song is inspired by the word “shi” meaning medicine, which also translates to something mysterious and wonderful. With that in mind, the band members challenged themselves to incorporate the oriental sounds of the anime into their melody and instruments.
Meanwhile, the lyrics were written with the idea that love can transcend this life and can remain unchanged even in the next one. It is an upbeat song, and they wish that fans can enjoy every line along with the story. “Kusushiki” by Mrs. GREEN APPLE is now available to stream on multiple platforms.
The Apothecary Diaries is a Japanese light novel series written by Natsu Hyuga and illustrated by Toko Shino. The series was also adapted into a manga series by Nekokurage and another by Minoji Kurata. Meanwhile, TOHO Animation Studio and OML animated the first season of The Apothecary Diaries in 2023. The second season is currently ongoing on its second cour, which Crunchyroll describes:
