Cygames Reveals Trailer and Worldwide Release Date for Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, Pre-Registrations Open

Cygames, Inc. has announced that Shadowverse: Worlds Beyond, the next installment in the Shadowverse digital card game series, will launch worldwide on June 17, 2025. A new trailer was also revealed. Players can now pre-register for the game on App Store, Google Play, Steam, and Epic Games Store via the official website.

Pre-registration and Rewards

Pre-registration is now open, and Cygames has introduced a reward campaign based on the total number of pre-registrations. If 300,000 players pre-register, all players will receive 20 card packs’ worth of rupies and card pack tickets upon release.

New and Updated Game Mechanics

Super-Evolution

• A new evolution mechanic allowing any rarity of followers to be super-evolved.
• Super-evolved followers gain Rush and a +3/+3 stat boost.
• They activate both Evolve and Super-Evolve abilities.
• They cannot be destroyed or take damage during the player’s turn.
• Enemies defeated by a super-evolved follower deal 1 damage to the opposing leader.

Bonus Play Point

• The second player in a match can gain a temporary play point twice per match.
• Usable once before turn six and once after.

Evolution Changes

• All evolved followers receive a standardized +2/+2 boost.
• Super-evolved followers gain +3/+3.
• Each player gets two evolution points and two super-evolution points per match.

Shadowverse Park (SV Park)

Replacing earlier minigames, Shadowverse Park is a new hub for social interactions and battles.

• Players can battle in lobbies, form guilds, and customize avatars.
• Character visages allow players to dress avatars as in-game characters.
• SV Park will host online tournaments and events.

Card Set Release Schedule

• New card sets will release every 1-1.5 months from launch until August.
• From September onward, sets will be released every two months.
• Additional card releases will be discontinued.

New AI Tips Feature

• AI-driven Eudie will guide players through practice matches.
• Designed to teach basic rules and strategies.

Changes to Card Liquefaction

• Players can only liquefy extra copies beyond the third copy of a card.
• To compensate, Worlds Beyond introduces:
  • A free card pack daily.
  • Missions awarding up to 10 card packs per new card set.
  • A guaranteed Legendary card for every 10 packs purchased.
  • A free prebuilt deck for new players upon completing First Farer beginner missions. Players can choose from nine different recommended decks, each containing a powerful Legendary card.
  • Missions and quests in SV Park rewarding additional packs and in-game items.

*Note: The daily free card pack does not count toward the 10-pack guarantee for a Legendary card.

Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025

• The previously announced Shadowverse World Championship has been revamped into the Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2025.
• Qualified contenders from the previous tournament will retain their eligibility.

Shadowverse: Evolve Physical Card Game

• The first Worlds Beyond card set will be released for the Japanese edition of Shadowverse: Evolve on July 11, 2025.
• New mechanics, including Super-Evolution, will be introduced to the physical game.
• Starter decks and a special set will be released on June 27, 2025.
• The special set includes card sleeves featuring Marie Malisse and Galan, as well as dice.
• All three products will contain in-game item codes for Worlds Beyond.
• The English edition will receive similar product releases with purchase bonuses.
